SHAME or FAME??

After th New York Mets devastating end for the 2007 season, baseball awards have been the only good thing about them. At the end of the season, David Wright from the New York Mets received the golden glove award for the first time for his outstanding defense in third base. The Mets center fielder, Carlos Beltran, also received this award fro the second consecutive year. Despite of the results the team, especially these two players made spectacular defensive and offensive plays, pushing their team when they needed a boost. For the "This Year in Baseball Awards" David Wright and Billy Wagner [New York Mets' closer] are nominated for "hitter" and "closer" of they year. Carlos Beltran also received a nomination for "play of the year" award.
